Paseo for Ubuntu Touch
Public packages and signed update metadata. Application source remains private.
Target: ARM64 Ubuntu Touch 24.04.
Installation
Install Private Updates 0.4.1 once by transferring the Click to the phone and opening it with OpenStore.
Scan the publisher enrollment QR with Ubuntu Touch's QR reader and open the link. In Private Updates, confirm Add app, then Check for updates, Review first installation, and Install app. Paseo requests networking and microphone access. Enable Background updates for daily checks on unmetered Wi-Fi with at least 30% battery. Checks do not wake the phone; permission or install-hook changes require another approval.
The updater itself is a manual download; it does not update itself automatically. To upgrade it, close Private Updates in the app switcher before opening the replacement Click.
Private Updates 0.4.1 defers an update while its target app is running or suspended. It never closes apps automatically. Swipe fully in from the right edge, then swipe the app's card upward to close it yourself. Select Check for updates or let the next daily check install the update while the app is closed.
Signing-key fingerprint (SHA-256 of the raw Ed25519 public key):

Compare this with the publisher through a separate trusted channel before enrollment.
Paseo 0.2.4
Adds a small microphone beside the input box. Hold it while speaking, then release to transcribe. The transcript appears directly in the editable draft and appends to existing text. Sending still requires Send reply. Drag away to cancel recording; unfinished recording or transcription is cancelled when Paseo leaves the foreground. Oversized transcripts can be trimmed without replacing your draft.
Close Paseo in the app switcher, then select Check for updates in Private Updates. Permissions and enrollment key are unchanged. The credential-storage fix from 0.2.1 and microphone-capture fix from 0.2.3 are retained.
